Happy Business. Subscribed.

Zuora, a multinational company, provides cloud-based software that helps companies launch, transform, and operate as subscription-based businesses. Formerly headquartered in San Mateo, this expanding company merged with their smaller Bay Area offices into one building. Their new headquarters is now a 4-story, 100,000 SF building with 10,000 SF of exterior amenity space in Redwood Shores, California.

With their brand and their company culture in mind, Zuora’s Headquarters follows suit with their other global offices by creating a space that encourages their ZEO’s (employees) to innovate, lead and grow. This encompasses a new training facility, with an adjacent pre-function space and meeting rooms, that offers a way to promote professional growth. Open office areas with benching and lounge spaces offer flexibility for growth and collaboration. A refresh of the three interconnecting staircases fosters connection and cross-collaboration between floors. Break rooms on each floor offer a fully stocked area for snacks and coffee. A cafe and bar on the first floor doubles as an all-hands space; equipped with a stage and theatrical lighting for collaborating with other office locations. A game lounge on the third floor gives the opportunity to relax and have fun; and a new fitness room, indoor bike storage and shower rooms offer a way to promote health and wellness.

In an effort to expedite the schedule and meet budget constraints, several existing conditions were maintained and modified to meet the new design criteria. Fresh and bright modern finishes inspired by Zuora’s brand aesthetic blend the existing and new architecture to create and enhance the overall work environment.
