Yuan Yuan

LEED AP BD+C

Archer + True Crime Researcher

Yuan’s passion for designed space and architecture began at the age of 16 when she helped build a classroom in Costa Rica. Witnessing the joy and security that a simple shelter brought to the community sparked her interest in creating spaces that serve and uplift people. After high school, she pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design at California State University, Long Beach, graduating in 2021. She then moved across the country to earn her Master of Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2024. Firmly believing that work experience is the best educator, Yuan seized every opportunity to work across the design field—from workplace and aviation to healthcare, residential, and neighborhood planning. Her roles have spanned furniture solutions, interior design, and architecture, giving her a well-rounded perspective on the built environment. Her deep interest in sustainable and wellness-focused design led her to earn the LEED AP BD+C credential, and she is currently working toward her architecture license and WELL AP certification. Yuan believes that design is not only about aesthetics, but also about psychology, safety, and the overall human experience. To her, good design should be holistic—appealing to the eye while thoughtfully serving those who use the space.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking, crocheting, and practicing archery.
