THE CHALLENGE

To create a functional environment where financial services employees could bring their high income clients to discuss investment opportunities in an interior space that did not have the look and feel of a bank. Given the fact that many of their clients are wineries, they wanted to showcase their different client wines while hosting after hours wine tastings and company events.

THE SOLUTION

AP+I planned the interior of the building to enhance the natural setting on Sand Hill Road by opening the lobby/reception area to both the front and back of the building. A wine cellar was created as a feature element in the reception area, surrounded by open areas leading to a boardroom and back patio area that could be opened up to create a large indoor/outdoor space for entertaining. All typical banking service functions are performed in enclosed offices off of the reception area.
