LinkedIn Corporate Headquarters Lobby

A LITTLE HISTORY

In the 5 years AP+I has been working with LinkedIn, they have grown from a 35,000 SF single-floor to a multi-building campus currently totaling 400,000 SF. Build-outs have been rapid, frequent and constantly subject to last minute changes as needed to accommodate the dynamic nature of their business. In addition to LinkedIn’s domestic projects, our work has expanded to include all global work, with projects most recently completed in Ireland, Australia, Canada, India and the UK.

THE CHALLENGE

For the corporate lobby, AP+I’s challenge was to work with the inherited architecture without making significant modifications in a fully occupied and functioning building. Our goal was to create an inviting and welcoming atmosphere, introduce stronger corporate branding and address specific multi-functional requirements, all within a relatively limited budget using the confines of the existing space.

THE SOLUTION

AP+I embraced existing industrial elements and incorporated wood elements to impact a warmer, balance to the raw architecture of the lobby, thus creating a more inviting atmosphere. Through the use of color, lighting and corporate branding, we accentuated the key functional areas within the lobby. Materials were a fusion of color, texture and pattern designed to enhance the architecture.
